Den första skådespelerskan har bekräftats!

Den irländska 17-åriga skådespelerskan Saoirse Ronan har fått rollen som huvudkaraktären Melanie Stryder.

Saoirse Ronan has been set to star in The Host, the screen adaptation of the bestselling novel by Twilight Saga author Stephenie Meyer. Scripted by Andrew Niccol, the film figures to be one of the hot titles when Inferno launches sales at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival next week. Niccol, who was originally set to direct, might resurface as the filmmaker.

Here’s the first trailer for Twilight-director Catherine Hardwicke’s new movie, Red Riding Hood. The movie is starring Amanda Seyfried and ”almost-Edward” Shiloh Fernandez. Billy Burke also has a part. Red Riding Hood opens in March.

Summit Entertainment announced today the following have been cast in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN for roles in The Amazon Coven, The Egyptian Coven, The Irish Coven and The Romanian Coven as well as the American and European Nomads as outlined below.
