While Rami Malek celebrated the Outstanding Miniseries win for The Pacific on Emmy night, the actor revealed that he has joined the cast of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Malek will play Benjamin, a member of the “Egyptian Coven” who has the ability to control the elements: water, earth, fire, and air.

Jackson Rathbone both co-produces and stars in the film Girlfriend, which has just been announced to have its worldwide premiere at Toronto International Film Festival, which runs September 9-19 in Toronto, Ontario.

The mother of all twilightmoms; Stephenie Meyer ranks second this year in the world’s 10 top-earning authors. Her Twilight series has become such a juggernaut that despite not releasing a new title in 2009, she earned $40 million over the year. About $7 million of that came from movies adapted from the Twilight series. In June the third Twilight installment pulled in $175 million in its first six days, the most successful first week of any movie of 2010.
